SPRINGTRAP!
The SpringTrap cosplay mask, was one of our secret projects we kept hidden away. Stated in April 2023, we had already designed the mechanisms built inside for the head, from the animatronic mechanisms to the spring locks.
Originally the head was going to be a regular Spring Bonnie mask, but after completing the head we turned it into springtrap!!!

A friend gave us a Spring Bonnie model that quickly sped up the progress, However, that doesn't mean we didn't have any work to do. We scaled the head to the FNAF 3 game accurate size, then started modelling the mechanisms for the jaw, ears, eyes and springlocks.

3D printing the pieces took a while, but felt satisfying and exciting to place all the pieces together. There had to be sanding for the nose, teeth and Endo. Then the painting, we used both spray paint and acrylic paint.
Adding the fabric was tricky so we used the duck tape and clear plastic wrap technique to have accurate size amount of fabric then just sewn and glued on.

To create springtrap, we then took a soldering iron and tore apart the head adding the decay and damage, afterwards we placed the pieces in water with paint to add to the effect. After drying, we placed all the pieces back together and added more paint and withering to the head. There are even motors in the eyes and ears to move around, and even LEDs for the eyes to light up Aftons eyes within the suit. And yes you can even see through the eyes!!!
